Disk partitioning is not dangerous — not any more

It used to be that repartitioning a hard drive with data on it was a project that took a lot of technical understanding used up a lot of antacids. You had to know a lot about your disk and its file structure and even then you kept your fingers crossed while the hard disk partition software ran. But with modern disk partitioning software like Acronis Disk Director Suite and the features in modern operating systems, partitioning and re-partitioning a hard drive is pretty much something even a novice can do.

In theory, in the old days, far too often in practice, creating or moving new hard disk partitions could leave large chunks of your drive, or even the entire hard disk, inaccessible. Acronis Disk Director Suite contains a host of special features to protect your data while you partition your disk.

For the novice user, changing or creating a partition requires just a few mouse clicks. Using the Acronis Disk Director Suite Automated Mode, the software wizard automatically checks every command along the way to ensure the user that their data are safe. The Automated Mode allows the user to answer just a few simple questions. The software eliminates many of the confusing and potentially troublesome options so that the user can change partition sizes quickly and easily. The software also provides the user with the ability to approve any changes to their disk before the changes are made.
